花見山　堀江新池親水公園の横にある河津桜の小山（愛媛県松山市）標高23m

最近、YAMAPに山頂登録されたとのことで、花見山に登ってきました。
堀江新池親水公園の駐車場の真向かいにある、小さな丘です。
標高23m、これぞ小山登りの醍醐味ですね。
ここは花見山城趾ということだそうです。

登り口は2ヶ所あります。
私は、駐車場前から登って、別の場所に下りてみました。
駐車場前から登り始めると、お地蔵様に出会うのでご挨拶。
どうも調べてみると、ここには花見山城主の西山氏の墓が祀られていたようなのですが、場所が違うのかな？
折り返して登ると広場に出ます。
お社が見えますので、奥の道から登っていきます。
あっという間に花見山山頂広場に到着。
お社があったのでご挨拶。
祇園神社の社だそうです。
お社の右斜後ろに三角点がありました。

花見山ということで、河津桜の木が2本植えられています。
清水さんという方が植樹されたのだとか。
春にもう一度、来てみたいと思います。

ちなみに、花見山の前に広がる、広大なため池が堀江新池です。
本当に大きい！
平成22年3月に農林水産省から全国ため池百選に選定されています。
ため池に入り込むような形で、東屋が建っています。
素晴らしい景色が楽しめますので、ぜひ、訪れてみてください。

登っていくと石仏があります
おそらくここが、花見山城主の西山氏の墓のあったところかな？

I heard that Hanamiyama had recently been added to YAMAP’s list of summit registrations, so I decided to climb it.
It’s a small hill located directly across from the parking lot at Horie Shinike Waterfront Park.
At 23 meters above sea level, this is exactly what makes climbing small hills so enjoyable.
Apparently, this is the site of the former Hanamiyama Castle.

There are two trailheads.
I started from the one in front of the parking lot and tried descending at a different spot.
When you start climbing from the parking lot, you come across a Jizo statue, so I stopped to say hello.
Upon looking it up, it seems the grave of the Nishiyama clan, the lords of Hanamiyama Castle, was enshrined here, but maybe I’m in the wrong spot?
Turning around and continuing the climb brings you to a clearing.
I could see a small shrine, so I took the path leading further in.
In no time, I arrived at the summit plaza of Hanamiyama.
There was a shrine there, so I paid my respects.
It appears to be Gion Shrine.
There was a triangulation point diagonally behind the shrine on the right.

Since it’s called Hanamiyama, two Kawazu cherry trees have been planted here.
I heard they were planted by a man named Mr. Shimizu.
I’d like to come back here again in the spring.

By the way, the vast reservoir stretching out in front of Hanamiyama is Horie Shin-ike.
It’s truly enormous!
In March 2010, it was selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as one of the “Top 100 Reservoirs in Japan.”
A gazebo stands as if it were built right inside the reservoir.
