観音山 南の峰に気合でよじ登る（愛媛県松山市）標高360m
白山から観音山へ。
白山登山口からさらに道路を上に登っていきます。
写真の場所が登山口。
ここの真ん中の道を入っていきます。
しばらく進むと小屋があり、眺望が開けています。
ここからYAMAPの踏み跡のある道に入っていきますが、笹薮がひどくて先に進めません。
仕方がないので、別の場所から山を直登することにしました。
これがなかなか急で、かつ足元が崩れてが滑ります。
木々の根を足場にしながら、よじ登っていきます。
よじ登った先が山頂です。
山頂には祠があります。
祠の横に出てしまったようです。
祠の正面に回ってご挨拶。
祠の後ろには、さらに小さな祠がありました。
どうも、これは南の峰のようで、こことは別に北の峰もあるそうです。

確かに道があるので進みます
山頂まではそれほどの距離ではありません

From Mt. Hakusan to Mt. Kannon.
From the Mt. Hakusan trailhead, we continue climbing up the road.
The location in the photo is the trailhead.
We take the path in the middle here.
After walking for a while, we came to a hut, and the view opened up.
From here, we were supposed to take the trail marked on YAMAP, but the bamboo thicket was so dense we couldn’t get through.
We had no choice but to climb straight up the mountain from a different spot.
This section was quite steep, and the ground was loose and slippery.
We scrambled up, using tree roots as footholds.
The summit was right at the top of the scramble.
There’s a small shrine at the summit.
It seems I ended up on the side of the shrine.
I walked around to the front of the shrine to pay my respects.
Behind the shrine, there was an even smaller shrine.
Apparently, this is the southern peak, and I’m told there’s also a separate northern peak.
