木野山神社 東大栗町のオオカミ様（愛媛県松山市）
東大栗町の木野山神社にご挨拶。
古城山の登山口の近くにあります。
木野山神社は、天満神社の境内にあるのですが、門からずっと木野山神社ののぼりが連なっています。
天満神社は、太宰府天満宮との関係があり、菅原道真公も祀られています。
木野山神社は、高寵神・闇寵神が祀られており、神姿は狼。
邪悪なものに対して高い神徳があるとして「オオカミ様の木野山神社」と呼ばれているそうです。
中にオオカミの置物がいらっしゃるそうです。
うーん、事前予習は大切ですね…
ということで、東大栗町の山々を登らせていただいた御礼をお伝えさせていただきました。

どこからか覗くと、狼の置物が見えるそうです

I paid my respects at Kinoyama Shrine in Higashi-Okurimachi.
It’s located near the trailhead for Mt. Furushiro.
Although Kinoyama Shrine is situated within the grounds of Tenman Shrine, a line of Kinoyama Shrine banners stretches all the way from the gate.
Tenman Shrine is associated with Dazaifu Tenmangu, and Lord Sugawara no Michizane is also enshrined there.
Kino-yama Shrine enshrines Takachō-no-kami and Yami-chō-no-kami, who take the form of wolves.
It is said to be called “Kino-yama Shrine of the Wolf Deity” because these deities possess great divine power against evil forces.
Apparently, there is a wolf figurine inside the shrine.
Hmm, it really is important to do your research beforehand…
So, I went there to express my gratitude for being allowed to climb the mountains of Higashi-Oguri Town.
