貫之山　紀貫之社と紀貫堂がある由緒あるお山（愛媛県松山市）標高約160m

平安時代の歌人で、古今和歌集の編纂にも携わった紀貫之。
京都比叡山延暦寺の裳立山に墓所があるのですが、実は愛媛県松山市にもお墓があります。
天慶9年に伊予の国を訪れた際に、ここで病死したとの言い伝えがあるそうです。
その紀貫之を祀った神社が紀貫之社で、その神社が山頂にあるお山が貫之山です。

紀貫之社の参道入口は、蓮生寺の近くにあります。
今回は参道からではなく、松山市立立岩小学校の前にある登り口から登ってきました。

白いガードレール伝いに階段を上り、山の中に入っていきます。
すぐに分岐点があり、まっすぐ進むとお堂があります。
こちらが紀貫之のお墓が祀られている紀貫堂です。
風早八十八ヵ所　第八十七番にも指定されています。
少し戻って分岐点から登っていきます。
登った先には基地局のある広場が。
展望台が設置されているのですが、朽ちてしまって立ち入り禁止でした。

ここから尾根沿いで山頂に向かいます。
少し登ると、コンクリート舗装された道に。
ここに小さなお社があります。
左右どちらに進んでも、ぐるっと廻って紀貫之社に到着です。
立派な拝殿があり、中には和歌の額がずらっとかかっているそうです。
拝殿の裏に回ると階段があり、本殿へ。
ご挨拶をして、右側から山頂に登ります。
数m登る、何もないのですが山頂です。
スマホの高度計で標高約160mでした。

本殿を裏から見下ろす形になりますので、長居は禁物。
眺望もないため、自己満足ですね。
もう一度、紀貫之社にご挨拶をして下りました。

Kinotsurayuki was a Heian-period poet who was also involved in the compilation of the Kokin Wakashu (Anthology of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry).
His grave is located on Mount Soshitate at Enryakuji Temple on Mt. Hieizan in Kyoto, but there is actually another grave in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture.
Legend has it that he died of illness here during a visit to Iyo in Tenkei 9.
The shrine dedicated to him is Kinukino-sha, and the mountain on top of the shrine is Mt.Tsurayuki.

The entrance to the approach to the shrine is located near Renjoji Temple.
This time, I climbed the mountain not from the approach but from the entrance in front of Tateiwa Elementary School in Matsuyama City.

Follow the white guardrail up the stairs and enter the mountain.
Soon you will come to a fork, and straight ahead you will find a hall.
This is Kikando, where Tsurayuki grave is enshrined.
It is also designated as the 87th of the 88 Kazehaya 88 Places of Worship.
Go back a little and climb up from the junction.
At the end of the climb, there is a plaza with a base station.
There is a lookout tower, but it was rotten and off-limits.

From here, follow the ridge to the summit.
After a short climb, we came to a concrete paved path.
There is a small shrine here.
No matter which way you go, you will arrive at Kinotsurayuki-sha.
There is a magnificent hall of worship, inside of which are a number of waka poem frames.
Turning to the back of the hall of worship, there is a stairway to the main shrine.
After greeting the visitors, we climbed up to the top of the mountain from the right side.
Climb up a few meters and you will see nothing but the summit.
The altimeter on my phone showed the altitude to be about 160 meters.

You will be looking down on the main shrine from the back, so do not stay too long.
Since there is no view, it is self-satisfying.
Once again, we greeted Kinotsurayuki-sha and descended.
