スクモ塚・金刀比羅神社　「の」の字の螺旋状登山道（愛媛県松山市）標高283m

高萩山からスクモ塚へ。
県道197号線を小山田のバス停で曲がります。
先の分かれ道を、金刀比羅神社に向かって進みます。
この金刀比羅神社のあるお山がスクモ塚です。
登り口手前の路肩に車を停められます。

登り口から登っていくと、風早八十八ヵ所　第八十三番に指定されている小山田上地蔵堂が。
その先に、金刀比羅神社の鳥居があります。
鳥居をしばらく歩くと、折り返して登りが始まります。
ここがスクモ塚の登山口といってもよいかも。

登山道はきれいに整備されていますが、めずらしく「の」の字の螺旋状になっている道。
道なりに反時計回りで登っていきます。
登山道の終了地点から、今度は山頂に向かって杉の間を登ります。
片道15分程で、あっという間に山頂です。

山頂には金刀比羅神社のお堂がありご挨拶。
お堂の右斜め前に三角点もありました。

標高283mのスクモ塚は遠くから見ていると、こんもりとしたお山です。
ただ登山口といえる場所から山頂までは標高差100m程度なので、あっという間に登れました。
眺望がないのは残念ですが、珍しい「の」の字の登山道を、ぜひ登ってみてくださいね！

From Mt. Takahagi to Sukumozuka.
Take Prefectural Route 197 and turn at the Oyamada bus stop.
Take the fork ahead toward Kinpira Shrine.
The mountain where the Konpira Shrine is located is Sukumozuka.
You can park your car on the shoulder of the road before the start of the climb.

As you climb up from the entrance, you will see the Oyamada-jo Jizo Hall, which is designated as the 83rd of the 88 Kazahaya Places of Worship.
Ahead is the torii gate of the Konpira Shrine.
After walking a short distance past the torii gate, turn around and begin the ascent.
This may be called the trailhead for Sukumozuka.

The trail is well-maintained, but unusually, the path spirals in the shape of the character “no”.
Follow the trail in a counterclockwise direction.
From the end of the trail, you now climb among the cedars toward the summit.
It takes about 15 minutes one way, and in no time you are at the summit.

At the summit, we are greeted by the hall of the Kinpira Shrine.
There is also a triangular point diagonally to the right of the shrine.

Sukumozuka, at an elevation of 283 meters, looks like a massive mountain from a distance.
However, the elevation difference from the trailhead to the summit is only about 100 meters, so it was a quick climb.
It is unfortunate that there is no view of the mountain, but please be sure to climb the unusual “no” trail!
