明神山 明神ヶ鼻池の奥に見えるNTTドコモの鉄塔（愛媛県松山市）標高161.11m
松山市北梅本の潮見山に登ってみたいなと思って出かけたのですが、調べたところ、どうも登れる山ではないことが判明。
諦めて、近くの明神山に登ってきました。
登山口は明神ヶ鼻池の鼻先の場所。
池の向こうの山に見える、NTTドコモの鉄塔が山頂です。
まずはフェンスのある土手の斜面を登っていきます。
この土手の上からは、皿ヶ嶺連峰や石鎚山を見渡すことができます。
ここから山道に入ります。
少し歩くと右手に小さな祠があります。
ここで分岐するのですが、右手側の祠の横の道は藪で覆われていて断念。
左手の道を進みます。
こちらもシダの藪ですが、かき分けて進みます。
あとは道に沿って進むだけですが、倒木やら枝やらシダ藪やらで、しばらくは大変。
ボロい雨合羽を着ていて良かったです。
途中にいくつかの小屋や明神山荘がありますが、その横を進んでいきます。
鉄塔が見えてくるので、もう一息。
鉄塔の右手奥に三角点があり、明神山の小さな標識がありました。
明神ヶ鼻池から鉄塔が見えていたように、鉄塔からの眺望は開けています。
ここからも皿ヶ嶺連峰や石鎚山を見渡すことができました。
雪の石鎚山系が本当にきれいでした。
途中の明神山荘の横に分岐の道があります。
ここを進んでいくと行基山に向かうことができます。
YAMAPでは片道30分程度なのでチャレンジしてみたのですが、木々とシダの藪で全くもって進む気になれませんでした。
どうも、これがずっと続きそうなので、時間の都合もあり残念ながら撤退です。
左側の道の方が藪が少なかったです

I went out to climb Shiomiyama in Kita-Umemoto, Matsuyama City, but upon checking it out, it turned out that it was apparently not a climbable mountain.
I gave up and climbed nearby Mt.Myoujin.
The trailhead is at the nose end of Myojin-ga-hana Pond.
The summit of the mountain is the NTT Docomo tower seen on the mountain beyond the pond.
First, we climbed up the slope of a bank with a fence.
From the top of this bank, you can see the Saragamine mountain range and Mt.Ishizuchi.
From here you will enter a mountain path.
After a short walk, you will see a small shrine on your right.
The path next to the shrine on the right is covered with bushes, so we gave up the path.
Take the path on the left.
It too is covered with ferns, but we waded through them.
All we had to do was follow the path, but we had a hard time for a while because of fallen trees, branches, and fern thickets.
I was glad I was wearing a raincoat.
We continued alongside several huts and the Myojin Sanso along the way.
We are about to take another break when we see a steel tower.
Behind the right side of the steel tower, there is a triangular point and a small sign of Myojinzan.
As the pylon was visible from Myojingahana Pond, the view from the pylon is open.
From here, we could also see the Saragamine mountain range and Mt.Ishizuchi.
Ishizuchi mountain range in the snow was really beautiful.
On the way to the top of the mountain, there is a branch trail next to Myojin Sanso.
If you continue on this path, you will be able to go to Mt.
According to Yamap, it takes about 30 minutes one way, so we tried it, but the trees and fern thickets made it difficult to go on.
It seemed like this would go on forever, so we unfortunately had to retreat due to time constraints.
