岩が森　ピンクテープ必須のマニアック登山（愛媛県松山市・愛媛県今治市）標高412.8m

小山田地区の小山田公園から菊間方面へ。
新池に向かう道に折り返して入っていきます。
しばらくコンクリ舗装道を進むと、新池が見えてきます。
新池の端で舗装が終わりますので、ここが登山口になります。

杉木の中を道沿いに歩いていくと、道がなくなり山肌が立ちふさがります。
どこでも良いので、尾根まで這い上がります。
（最近、こんなのばっかりの気がする・・・）
杉と杉の間が近いルートを選ぶと比較的安全です。

尾根に上がったら、ここからしばらくは定期的にピンクテープを巻いていくことをお薦めします。
（帰りに絶対、迷います。帰りに回収は必須です。）
尾根沿いに登っていきます。
行きはわかりやすいのですが、帰りはかなりわかりにくいです。
しばらく進むと、地図上の破線の場所に。
このあたりは藪になっていて、わかりにくいのでYAMAP推奨です。
ここから、岩が森に右方向に向かって曲がっていきます。

後でわかったのですが、左方向に一度進むと、折り返してきれいな道がありました。
この破線はスクモ塚のふもとまで続いていますので、おそらく正規の登山口はこちらですね。
機会があれば、登り直してみます。

さて、破線の尾根道を進んでいきます。
最初の藪を過ぎれば、あとは歩きやすい道です。
しばらく進むと、最後の急斜面の登りが待っています。
（最近、こんなのばっかりの気がする・・・）
道はありませんので、木々の間を登っていきます。
山頂付近には石垣があり、城址であることがわかります。
木々の隙間を登っていくと、山頂の広場に。
三角点が出迎えてくれます。

眺望はあまり期待できないのですが、高縄山方面を眺めることができます。
残念ながら、この日はモヤが凄くてうっすらとしか見ることができませんでした。
次回は視野がきれいな日に登ってみたいですね。

これで、旧北条市から菊間あたりまでの山々は制覇！
旧北条市街の山々は眺望が最高、それ以外の山々はマニアックなお山が多かったですねぇ。

From Oyamada Park in the Oyamada district, head toward Kikuma.
Turn onto the road leading to Shin-ike Pond.
After following the concrete paved path for a while, you will see Shin-ike Pond.
The pavement ends at the edge of Shin-ike and this is the trailhead.

Walk along the path through the cedar trees until the path disappears and a mountainside looms over you.
Crawl up to the ridge, wherever it is.
(I feel like I’ve been doing this a lot lately…)
It is relatively safe to choose a route that is close to the cedars.

Once on the ridge, it is recommended to wrap pink tape regularly for a while from here.
(You will definitely get lost on the way back. You must retrieve it on the way back.)
Climb along the ridge.
It is easy to find on the way up, but quite confusing on the way back.
After a while, you will reach the dashed line on the map.
This area is thickly forested and difficult to find, so YAMAP is recommended.
From here, the rock turns toward the right into the forest.

I found out later that once to the left, there was a clean path to turn around.
This dashed line continues to the foot of Sukumo Mound, so perhaps the regular trailhead is here.
If I have a chance, I will try to climb back up.

Now, we will continue on the dashed ridge trail.
Once you pass the first thicket, the rest of the trail is easy to walk on.
After a while, the last steep slope awaits you.
(I feel like I’ve been doing this a lot lately…)
There is no path, so you climb up through the trees.
There is a stone wall near the top of the mountain, indicating that it is the site of a castle.
Climbing up through the trees, you will come to the plaza at the summit.
A triangular point welcomes you.

The view is not so great, but you can see the direction of Mt.
Unfortunately, on this day there was so much blur that we could only see faintly.
Next time, I would like to climb the mountain on a day when the field of view is clear.

With this, we have conquered the mountains from the former Hojo City to the Kikuma area!
The mountains in the old Hojo City had the best views, and many of the other mountains were maniac mountains.
