淡路ヶ峠 鉄格子を抜ける新ルート開拓（愛媛県松山市）標高273m
最近、運動不足だったので、三嶺の前に淡路ヶ峠×2回の軽めのトレーニング。
前回登った際に、新しい登山道を教えてもらったので、1回目はそのルートで登ってみます。
繁多寺コースから入り、岩場の手前から右手の道へ。
芝ヶ峠の名前が手書きで記載されていました。
そのまま進むと鉄の格子戸が待っています。
前回、教えていただいた話によると、格子戸は獣除けのためで通ってよいとのこと。
格子戸を開けて、ちゃんと閉めて、進んでいきます。
左手に小屋があり、小屋の横から淡路ヶ峠へ登っていくようです。
少し登って小屋を振り返ると、うーん、何となく見覚えのある景色。
登っていくと、石井連絡線4番の鉄塔に到着。
やっぱり、以前、芝ヶ峠に行くために降りていった道でした。
なるほど、こう繋がっていたのか。
先日お会いした方からは、今回のルートの方が登るのが楽だ！と話されていたのですが、2つ目の鉄塔まで登れてしまうのは確かに楽ですね。
あとは、尾根を歩いて行って淡路ヶ峠の展望台に到着です。
この日は30℃越で暑かったのですが、南海来ても展望台の景色は最高ですね！
この後は、戻って宝ヶ峯に行き、稜線コースで下り、ガンバる赤シャツコースで淡路ヶ峠に登り返しました。
淡路ヶ峠は標高274m、2往復と宝ヶ峯への移動を合わせて、累積標高約500m程度でしょうか。
少し物足りないですが、良い練習になりました。

Recently, I’ve been lacking exercise, so I did two light training hikes up Awajiga-tou before tackling Mount Sanrei.
Last time I climbed, I was told about a new trail, so I’ll try that route for the first ascent.
Starting from the Hantaji Course, I took the path to the right just before the rocky section.
The name “Shibaga-tou” was written there by hand.
Continuing straight, an iron gate awaited.
According to what I was told last time, the gate is for keeping out animals, and it’s okay to pass through.
I opened the gate, made sure to close it properly, and continued on.
There was a hut on the left, and it seemed the path to Awajiga-tou climbed up beside it.
After climbing a bit and looking back at the hut, hmm… the view felt vaguely familiar.
Continuing up, I arrived at the Ishii Link Line No. 4 transmission tower.
Sure enough, this was the path I had descended before to reach Shibaga-tou.
Ah, so that’s how it connects.
The person I met the other day said this route was easier to climb! And indeed, being able to climb all the way to the second tower is definitely easier.
After that, I walked along the ridge and arrived at the Awajiga-tou observation deck.
It was over 30°C and hot that day, but the view from the observation deck is fantastic, even on a hot day!
After this, I returned to Takaragamine, descended via the ridge line course, and then climbed back up to Awajiga Pass via the challenging red-shirt course.
Awajiga-tou is at an elevation of 274m. Including the two round trips and the move to Takaragamine, the cumulative elevation gain was probably around 500m.
It felt a bit lacking, but it was good practice.
