念仏山　知る人ぞ知る念仏山展望台（愛媛県今治市）標高381.9m

続いて念仏山へ。
大島石の採取を行っている山です。
この山は山頂まで道が続いていますので、スクーター登山。
車は…離合を考えなければ小さな軽自動車なら可能かもしれませんがお勧めしません。

まずはカレイ山を目指して道を登っていきます。
カレイ山の入口のゲートの手前から、さらに上に登る左手の道がありますので登っていきます。
コンクリート舗装された道はかなり荒れています。
岩石採取場を過ぎると、道がかなり細くなります。
鉄塔を過ぎ、さらにさらに進んでいくと、念仏山展望台の案内標識が！
昔は観光地だったのでしょうか？
車が離合できずに阿鼻叫喚になっている画しかイメージできません。
さらに進むと、終点に念仏山展望台と念仏山無線中継局のアンテナがあります。

まずは展望台に登ってみます。
ロープが張られているため、自己責任です。
展望台からは、伯方島、大三島方面の島海の眺望が楽しめます。

念佛山には三角点があるはずだけど・・・と探してみると、展望台の階段を降りるときに、草むらの中に見つけることができました。
近くのカレイ山展望台が有名ですが、機会がありましたら、ぜひ、訪れてみてください。

Next, we head to Nenbutsu Mountain.
This mountain is where Oshima stone is quarried.
There is a road leading to the summit of this mountain, so we can climb it on our scooters.
As for cars, it may be possible to pass other vehicles if you are careful, but we do not recommend it.

First, we climb the road toward Karai Mountain.
Before the gate at the entrance to Karai Mountain, there is a road on the left that leads further up, so we climb that road.
The concrete-paved road is quite rough.
After passing the rock quarry, the road becomes quite narrow.
After passing the transmission tower, continue further, and you’ll see the sign for the Nenbutsu Mountain Observation Deck!
Was this once a tourist spot?
I can only imagine a chaotic scene where cars couldn’t pass each other.
Further on, at the end of the road, there is the Nenbutsu Mountain Observation Deck and the antenna for the Nenbutsu Mountain Wireless Relay Station.

First, I’ll climb up to the observation deck.
There’s a rope, so proceed at your own risk.
From the observation deck, you can enjoy views of the islands and seas around Hakata Island and Oshima Island.

I thought there should be a triangulation point on Nenbutsu Mountain, but when I looked for it, I found it in the grass as I was descending the stairs of the observation deck.
The nearby Karei Mountain Observation Deck is famous, but if you have the opportunity, please visit it.
