【登れず】西ノ冠岳　二ノ森に向けてトラバース　土小屋～梅ヶ市・二ノ森縦走（愛媛県上浮穴郡久万高原町・愛媛県西条市）標高1894m

本日は、MHCにて土小屋～梅ヶ市までの二ノ森縦走です。
土小屋から二ノ森までのルートは初めてなので楽しみ！

まずは、石鎚神社の鳥居まで。
今回はウォーミングアップのような感じです。
天候は快晴！瓶ヶ森や東稜がとても美しいです。

２時間ほどで石鎚神社の鳥居に到着。
ここでレジェンドをお見かけし、握手していただきました。
ありがとうございます！

小休止して出発。
迂回ルートの階段を登っていきます。
そういえば階段を「上る」のは初めてかも。
しばらく進むと、二ノ森の分岐点へ。

しばらく下っていきます。下るんだ…
面河ルートと合流。
ここを過ぎると、美しい笹の稜線が見えてきます。
晴天の稜線、いやぁ、素晴らしいです！
振り返ると、弥山が見えます。
振り返る度に、天狗岳や南尖峰が徐々に見えてくるのも楽しいですね！

笹の稜線の先には、西ノ冠岳が見えます。

今回は行けなかったのですが、その手前に石鎚山の三角点があります。
東ノ冠岳と呼ばれる場所にあるそうです。
踏み跡頼みだそうですが、次回は行ってみたいと思います。

一度木々の中に入り、再び、笹の道へ。
前方には西ノ冠岳、振り返ると天狗岳、下を見ると広大な笹原、どこを見ても美しいですね。

西ノ冠岳に登る道であろう場所を過ぎます。
今回は西ノ冠岳はトラバース。
トラバース道から山頂まではなかなかの高度差。
次回は、ぜひとも登ってみたいと思います。

さて、二ノ森に向けて笹原を進んでいきます。

Today, I’m doing the Nino-mori traverse from Tsuchigoya to Umegaichi with the MHC.
This is my first time taking the route from Tsuchigoya to Nino-mori, so I’m really looking forward to it!

First, I headed to the torii gate at Ishizuchi Shrine.
This part felt like a warm-up.
The weather is absolutely clear! Binagamori and the East Ridge look absolutely stunning.

I arrived at the torii gate of Ishizuchi Shrine in about two hours.
I spotted a legend here and got to shake his hand.
Thank you so much!

After a short break, I set off again.
I climbed the stairs on the detour route.
Come to think of it, this might be the first time I’ve actually “climbed” these stairs.
After walking for a while, I reached the fork leading to Nino-mori.

We headed downhill for a while. So we’re going down…
We joined the Omogo Route.
Once past this point, a beautiful ridge covered in bamboo grass came into view.
The ridge on a clear day—wow, it’s amazing!
Looking back, I could see Mt. Misen.
It’s also fun how Mt. Tengu and the South Peak gradually come into view every time I look back!

Beyond the bamboo grass ridge, I could see Mt. Nishinokanmuridake.

I wasn’t able to go there this time, but just before it, there’s a triangulation point for Mt. Ishizuchi.
Apparently, it’s located at a place called Higashi-no-Kanmuri-dake.
I hear you have to rely on a faint trail to get there, but I’d like to check it out next time.

We enter the woods for a bit, then return to the bamboo grass trail.
Nishi-no-Kanmuri-dake lies ahead; when I look back, I see Mt. Tengu; and when I look down, I see a vast expanse of bamboo grass—it’s beautiful no matter where I look.

I pass what appears to be the trail leading up to Mt. Nishi-no-Kanmuri.
This time, I’m traversing past Mt. Nishi-no-Kanmuri.
There’s quite a bit of elevation gain from the traverse path to the summit.
Next time, I definitely want to climb it.

Now, I continue through the bamboo grass field toward Mt. Ni-no-Mori.
