面河の頭・三ノ森 四国で最も高い無名峰 土小屋～梅ヶ市・二ノ森縦走（愛媛県上浮穴郡久万高原町）標高1866m
西ノ冠コルから二ノ森へ。
その途中に面河の頭と呼ばれるピークがあります。
一ノ森…鞍瀬の頭
二ノ森
三ノ森…面河の頭
という説もあるそうです。
面河の頭も、三ノ森も、そう呼ばれているだけで正式名称ではありません。
標高1866m、四国最高峰とも言える無名峰です。
YAMAPのルートを見ていると、今回は面河の頭はトラバースかなと思っていたのですよね。
笹道から森に入り進んでいくと、リーダーが上の道に登っていきます。
おぉ！これはもしかすると山頂へ？と、ワクワクしながら森の中を登っていきます。
とはいうものの登る距離は短く、あっという間にピークへ。
一瞬のピークですぐに下るのですが、そこに三角点がありました。
気を抜くと三角点しか見えないのですが、すぐ後ろの木の下に「面河ノ頭」の山頂標識がありました。
教えていただかないと見落とすところでした（汗）
ピークは一瞬で眺望もありませんが、木々の間から見えた空がきれいでした。
さて、いよいよ二ノ森へ！

From Nishi-no-Kanmuri Pass to Ni-no-Mori.
Along the way, there’s a peak called Omokawa-no-Atama.
Ichi-no-Mori… Kurase-no-Kashira
Ni-no-Mori
San-no-Mori… Omogo-no-Kashira
Apparently, there’s a theory that goes like this.
Neither Omokawa-no-kashira nor San-no-Mori are official names—they’re just common names.
At an elevation of 1,866 meters, it’s an unnamed peak that could be considered Shikoku’s highest.
Looking at the YAMAP route, I’d thought we might be traversing Omokawa-no-Kashira this time.
As we left the bamboo trail and entered the forest, our leader started climbing up the path above us.
“Oh! Could this be the way to the summit?” I thought, and with a sense of excitement, I began climbing through the forest.
That said, the climb was short, and we reached the peak in the blink of an eye.
It was just a brief stop at the peak before we headed back down, but there was a triangulation point there.
If you weren’t paying attention, all you could see was the triangulation point, but right behind it, under a tree, was the “Omokawa-no-Atama” summit sign.
I would have missed it if someone hadn’t pointed it out.
The peak was just a fleeting stop with no views, but the sky peeking through the trees was beautiful.
Now, on to Nino-mori!
