竜門山　朝倉にある眺望を楽しめる山（愛媛県今治市・西条市）標高439m

朝倉ダムの緑水公園・黒谷公園を超えて竜門山登山口の峠へ。
道が本当に狭いのですが、峠には車を停めるスペースがあります。
「竜門」と書かれた標識が立っているので、登山口がわかりやすいです。
この辺り、不法投棄のポイントらしく、ロープが張られ、警告看板が立っていました。
山登りをしていていると、不法投棄箇所に度々出会うのが悲しいのですよね。

さて、気を取り直して登山開始！
かなり荒れた道を想定していたのですが、とてもよく整備された、わかりやすく、歩きやすい道です。
ありがたいですね。
少し登ると分岐があり、321mピークの標識があったので行ってみました。
眺望は全くないのですが、途中で竜門山の姿を眺めることができました。
分岐に戻って進みます。
尾根道をぐるっと反時計回りに進んでいく感じです。
倒木が数か所ありましたが、これもまた楽しみの一つですね。

椎ノ木越への分岐点から急登が始まります。
ロープを張ってくれていますが、頼りすぎずに登っていきましょう。
下りは滑るので、ロープが本当にありがたいです。

山頂の少し下に展望ポイントがあります。
今治平野が一望でき、その先には来島海峡大橋も見ることができました。
世田山・笠松山もきれいに眺められます。
休憩ポイントに最適ですね！

もう少し登ると竜門山山頂。
城跡ということで、小さな広場になっています。
三角点と小さな標識がありました。
残念ながら山頂は眺望がありません。

下りにもう一度、眺望ポイントでゆっくり休憩。
南側の山々の奥には東三方ヶ森も眺めることができました。

After passing over Asakura Dam’s Green Water Park and Kurodani Park, you will reach the pass at the entrance of the Ryumonzan trailhead.
The road is really narrow, but there is space to park your car at the pass.
A sign reading “Ryumon” makes it easy to find the trailhead.
This area seems to be a point for illegal dumping, so ropes were put up and warning signs were erected.
It is sad to often encounter illegal dumping sites while hiking in the mountains, isn’t it?

Well, we got ourselves together and started climbing the mountain!
I had expected the trail to be quite rough, but it was very well maintained, easy to follow, and easy to walk on.
Thank goodness for that.
After a short climb, there was a branch and a sign for the 321-meter peak, so we went there.
There was no view at all, but we could see Mt.
We returned to the branch and continued on.
We continued in a counterclockwise direction along the ridge path.
There were a few fallen trees, but that is part of the fun.

The steep climb begins at the junction to Shiinoki-goshi.
Ropes have been set up for you, but don’t rely too much on them.
It is slippery on the way down, so the rope is really appreciated.

There is a view point a little below the summit.
We could see the whole Imabari Plain and beyond that the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge.
Mt. Seta and Mt. Kasamatsu can also be seen beautifully.
This is an ideal rest point!

A little further up the mountain is the summit of Ryumonzan.
As it is the remains of a castle, there is a small plaza.
There is a triangular point and a small sign.
Unfortunately, there is no view from the summit.

Once again on the way down, we took a relaxing break at the view point.
We could see Higashisanpougamori behind the mountains to the south.
