The trailhead is located along National Route 197. That said, on this particular day, there was construction causing one-way traffic right in the middle of the road. I felt a bit bad about that. It’s easy to remember because it’s the spot where the narrow path descends toward the Oku district.
I entered from the trailhead and climbed up the concrete-paved road. The path is easy to follow until you reach the power tower. Once past the tower, I just kept climbing up the wooded slope toward the higher ground. It felt like there was a path, but it was barely there. The summit is a small clearing, where a triangulation point greets you. There’s no view. Mount Omori looks like a majestic mountain from the road, but the climb was over in no time.
