【登れず】前赤石山 今回は残念ながらトラバース（愛媛県新居浜市）標高1677m
八巻山から前赤石山の後半戦。
赤石岩屋の天窓から先も、まだまだ岩場が続きます。
岩場を抜けると森林帯へ。
木々の間を歩いていきます。
前赤石山・物住頭への分岐点、石室越に到着。
ここから西赤石山へ。
木々を抜けると、ピラミッドのような西赤石山の三角頭が見えてきました。
しばらく歩くと、前赤石山の分岐点に到着。
知っていないとわからない分岐です。
前赤石山は登るも、トラバース道も岩場です。
今回は残念ながら、時間の関係でトラバース。
YAMAPによると、分岐点より山頂まで上りは9分、下りは7分とのことですが、ガイドさん曰く、もっと時間がかかりますよ、とのことでした。
残念ですが、またの機会に前赤石山には登りたいと思います。
でも、前赤石山に行くまでが、西から行っても、東から行っても大変なのですよね（汗）
次の物住頭から、前赤石山をじっくりと堪能することができました。

The second half of the hike from Mt. Hachimaki to Mt. Mae-Akaishi.
Even beyond the skylight at Akaishi Iwaya, the rocky terrain continues for quite a while.
Once past the rocky section, the trail enters a forested area.
We walk through the trees.
We arrive at Ishimuro-goe, the junction for Maeakishi-yama and Monozumi-kashira.
From here, we head toward Nishi-Aakishi-yama.
As we emerge from the trees, the triangular peak of Nishi-Aakishi-yama, resembling a pyramid, comes into view.
After walking for a while, we reach the junction for Maeakishi-yama.
It’s a junction you’d miss if you didn’t know it was there.
The ascent to Maeakishi-yama and the traverse route are both rocky.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I had to traverse it this time.
According to YAMAP, the ascent from the fork to the summit takes 9 minutes, and the descent takes 7 minutes, but the guide told me it actually takes much longer.
It’s a shame, but I hope to climb Maeakishi-yama another time.
Still, getting to Maeakishi-yama is tough whether you approach from the west or the east.
From the next peak, Monozumi-kashira, I was able to fully appreciate Maeaakishi Mountain.
So that’s the rocky ridge we’d have to walk along…
