高月山 鬼ヶ城山系最高峰へ続くシャクナゲロード（愛媛県宇和島市・愛媛県北宇和郡鬼北町）標高1229.13m
本日は高月山から郭公山までの縦走です。
鹿ノコルからスタートです。
まずは東山の登山口横の林道を進んでいきます。
梅ガ成峠への登り口標識があり、そこから登っていきます。
あとは高月山の標識に従って進んでいきます。
この季節はシャクナゲですね。
ホンシャクナゲの花がきれいです。
高月山から郭公山までは、シャクナゲロードと言えるほど、ずっと続いています。
今回のルートは高低差が少ない稜線歩きです。
気持ちの良い空気、美しいシャクナゲの花を見ながら歩いていきます。
「肩のコル」を過ぎて、高月山への登りが始まります。
青空、木々の新緑、シャクナゲの花と、美しい景色が続きます。
最後は少し急登です。
本日のルートの最初で最後の急登でもあります。
登り切って、少し進むと、高月山山頂です。
高槻山の山頂標識と三角点、そして祠があります。
祠にご挨拶して、ここでお昼ごはん。
高月山は鬼ヶ城山系最高峰の標高標高1229m。
三本杭より3m高い標高です。
木々のため眺望はないのですが、木々の隙間から鬼ヶ城山を眺めることができました。
お昼ごはんを食べたら、東高月山、郭公岳への縦走です。

珍しく身体の一部の名前がついています

Today’s hike is a traverse from Mt. Takatsuki to Mt. Kakkou.
We’ll start from Shikanokoru.
First, we’ll follow the forest road next to the Higashiyama trailhead.
There’s a sign marking the trailhead for Umeganari Pass, and we’ll start our ascent from there.
After that, we’ll follow the signs for Mt. Takatsuki.
This is the season for rhododendrons.
The flowers of the Japanese rhododendron are beautiful.
From Mt. Takatsuki to Mt. Kakkou, the rhododendrons stretch on and on—it’s practically a “Rhododendron Trail.”
This route is a ridge walk with minimal elevation gain.
We hike while enjoying the refreshing air and the beautiful rhododendron blossoms.
After passing “Katano-koru,” the ascent to Mt. Takatsuki begins.
The beautiful scenery continues—blue skies, fresh green foliage, and rhododendron blossoms.
The final stretch is a bit steep.
It is also the first and last steep climb of today’s route.
Once you reach the top and walk a short distance further, you’ll arrive at the summit of Mt. Takatsuki.
There is a summit marker, a triangulation point, and a small shrine.
We say a quick hello to the shrine and have lunch here.
Mount Takatsuki is the highest peak in the Onigajo Mountain Range, standing at 1,229 meters above sea level.
It is 3 meters higher than Mount Sanbonkui.
Although the trees block the view, I was able to catch a glimpse of Mount Onigajo through the gaps in the foliage.
After lunch, we set off on a traverse to Mount Higashi-Takatsuki and Mount Kakko.
