扇山　山道または舗装道で登れる砥部のお山（愛媛県伊予郡砥部町）標高199.6m

お山に登りたい。
でも、もう夕方・・・
ということで、ご近所登山に。
ご近所の金比羅山に登ろうかと思ったのですが、先週も登ったので、今ひとつ気乗りせず。
YAMAPで近くの山を探すと、扇山という山がありました。
YAMAP登山道はないのですが、足跡がありましたので、登ってみることに。

国道33号線の砥部町にある三角交差点を理正院に向いて曲がり、農免道路を進んでいきます。
しばらく進んで、右手にみかん山や小屋が見えるあたりが登山口です。
登山道がありましたので登っていきます。
春の雨で草がかなり伸びてきました。
倒木や笹藪もありますが、くぐり抜けて進んでいきます。

途中に廃棄された軽自動車が！
そうなんです。
悲しいかな、不法投棄のゴミがたくさんあるのですよね。
小山に登っていると、このような現場によく出会うのが残念です。

道が途切れたところから尾根を登っていきます。
明るい空が見えていますのでもうすぐなのですが、ここから文字通り、茨の道。
ちょっと通れそうにないので、少し下って回り込みます。
この辺りが更に不法投棄がひどくて、気が滅入りますね。
最後の藪を抜けると・・・なんと舗装道！
（パットゴルフのあたりから軽トラやスクーターなら登れるようです）
道を進むと、何やらアンテナやらコンテナ倉庫やらがあり、ここに三角点がありました。
鉄塔がたくさんある、みかん畑側に眺望が広がります。
眺望のご褒美があって良かった。

さて、帰りは舗装道から藪に突っ込むことからスタート。
ピークハントの夕方登山でした。

I want to climb a mountain.
But it’s already evening…
So we decided to go climbing in our neighborhood.
I thought about climbing Mt. Kompira in my neighborhood, but I had already climbed it last week, so I was not in the mood for it.
I searched for nearby mountains on Yamap and found a mountain called Ougiyama.
There was no Yamap trail, but there were footprints on the mountain, so we decided to climb it.

At the Myouka intersection in Tobe-cho on Route 33, turn toward Risho-in Temple and continue along the farm road.
After proceeding for a while, the trailhead is around where you see Mikanzan and a hut on the right hand side.
There was a trail, so we climbed up.
The spring rains had caused the grass to grow quite a bit.
There were fallen trees and bamboo thickets, but we continued on through them.

On the way up, we saw an abandoned small car!
That’s right.
Sadly, there is a lot of illegally dumped garbage.
It is unfortunate that we often come across such sites when climbing small mountains.

We climbed up the ridge from where the path broke off.
We are almost there because we can see bright skies, but from here, it is literally a thorny path.
It looks a bit impassable, so we go down and around a bit.
This area is even more depressing because the illegal dumping is so bad.
After passing through the last thicket…what a paved road!
(Light trucks and scooters can climb up from around the putt-putt golf course.) Continuing on the road, we found some antennas and container warehouses, and here was the triangulation point.
The view opens up on the side of the mandarin oranges where there are many pylons.
It was nice to be rewarded with a view.

Now, the return trip started with a plunge from the paved road into the bushes.
It was a peak hunt evening climb.
