権現山　石鎚神社瀬戸遥拝所と権現山展望台　バードウォッチングの名所（愛媛県西宇和郡伊方町）標高375m

佐田岬半島スクーター登山の旅。
4つ目の山は権現山。

ここは権現山展望公園として広い道で駐車場まで車で行けます。
広々した駐車場です。
駐車場に「権現山」の案内板。
そして、権現山展望台があります。
権現山は、バードウォッチングで有名な場所で、この日も展望台には立派な双眼鏡とカメラを構えられた方が2人おられました。
邪魔できないので、展望台は道路から眺めるだけ。

駐車場の端にあるアンテナ塔の横に舗装道があり、ここが登山口です。
落ち葉がたくさんの道を進むと、道が折り返します。
（まっすぐ進むと電波塔があります）

登っていくと「石鎚神社」と書かれた石碑があります。
入っていくと石鎚神社のお社があります。
ご挨拶をしてさらに進んでいくと、石鎚神社瀬戸遥拝所に到着。
ここが山頂となります。
三角点はありません。

この瀬戸遥拝所は、太平洋戦争後に移築されたとのことですが、うーん、木々で囲まれて石鎚山どころか、眺望が全くありません。
眺望は権現山展望台で楽しみましょう！
とはいうものの、理論的には天気がよく、空気が澄んでいれば、石鎚山が見れる場所とのこと。
それでも、かなり条件が整わないと難しそうですね。

続いて、遠見山に向かいます！

せと風の丘パークから権現山展望公園の駐車場まで薬5分
ほぼ山頂まで、きれいな道で来れます

バードウォッチングのお邪魔をしてはいけないので眺望は展望台の横から
遠くに風車が連なっていますね

味があります
今は眺望は全くないのですが、理論的には石鎚山が拝める場所とのことです

A Scooter Hiking Trip on the Sada Misaki Peninsula.
The fourth mountain is Mt. Gongen.

This area is known as Mt. Gongen Viewing Park, and you can drive right up to the parking lot on a wide road.
It’s a spacious parking lot.
There’s a sign for “Mount Gongen” in the parking lot.
And there’s the Mount Gongen Observation Deck.
Mount Gongen is famous for birdwatching, and on this day, there were two people at the observation deck with high-quality binoculars and cameras.
Since I didn’t want to disturb them, I just looked at the observation deck from the road.

There’s a paved path next to the antenna tower at the edge of the parking lot, and this is the trailhead.
As you walk along the path covered in fallen leaves, the trail makes a switchback.
(If you go straight, you’ll reach a radio tower.)

As you climb, you’ll come across a stone monument inscribed with “Ishizuchi Shrine.”
If you go inside, you’ll find the main shrine building of Ishizuchi Shrine.
After offering a greeting, continue on to reach the Ishizuchi Shrine Seto Remote Worship Site.
This is the summit.
There is no triangulation point.

I’ve heard this Seto Remote Worship Site was relocated here after World War II, but… well, it’s surrounded by trees, so there’s absolutely no view—not even of Mt. Ishizuchi.
Let’s enjoy the view from the Gongen-yama Observation Deck instead!
That said, theoretically, if the weather is good and the air is clear, this is supposedly a spot where you can see Mt. Ishizuchi.
Still, it seems like you’d need pretty ideal conditions to actually see it.
