権現山 登山口から45分で素晴らしき眺望の世界へ（愛媛県伊予市、愛媛県伊予郡砥部町）標高479m
白滝山から権現山へ。
まずは下り！
50mほどですが一気に下っていきます。
ロープエリアもありです。
尾根道を歩いていると、カーブしている尾根道の先に権現山が見えます。
以前登ったのは登山歴2年目の2年4ヶ月ほど前。
当時はかなり遠く見えたのですが、今はめちゃくちゃ近く見えます。
かなり感覚が変わってしまいましたね（笑）
尾根道を歩き、いくつかの小さな岩場のピークを登ったり、トラバースしたり。
そして、平たい岩場へ。
ここから眺める障子山も最高です！
青空も出てきて、かなり気持ちが良いですね。
さらに進むと、ロープのある岩場に。
とはいっても簡単に登れます。
そして、権現山山頂の祠に到着。
ご挨拶をして、その先の岩尾根へ。
やはり、ここの眺望は最高ですね！
全方位が本当に美しいです。
山の景色、街の景色が心行くまで楽しめます。
登山口から1時間もかからずに、このような眺望が見えるのが嬉しいですね。
さて、今日の目的は、この岩尾根から下がっているロープを降りてみること。
上から見ると垂直のように見えて、前回は恐る恐る眺めただけだったのですよね。
これも慣れなのか、今回は全く恐れることなく、すいすいと降りていきました。
降りるの楽しい！
この道、砥部町と伊予市の境に沿って進んでいるようなのですが、どこに続いているのか全く見当がつきません。
ロープが終わるあたりまで降りて、戻ってきました。
ということで、皆さんはロープ下りだけ楽しんでみてください！
帰りはスイスイと戻っていたところ、ストックを忘れていることに気付いて権現山までUターン。
早めに気付いてよかったです（汗）

From Shirataki Mountain to Gongen Mountain.
First, the descent!
It’s only about 50m, but we go straight down.
There’s a rope section too.
Walking along the ridge path, Gongen Mountain comes into view ahead around the curve.
I last climbed it about two years and four months ago, during my second year of hiking.
Back then it looked pretty far away, but now it seems incredibly close.
My sense of distance has really changed.
Walking the ridge path, we climbed over a few small rocky peaks and traversed some sections.
Then, we reached a flat rock area.
The view of Shōjiyama from here is also amazing!
The blue sky came out, making it feel really great.
Further on, I reached a rocky section with a rope.
That said, it’s easy to climb.
Then, I arrived at the shrine on Mount Gongen’s summit.
I paid my respects and headed to the rocky ridge beyond.
The view from here is truly the best!
Every direction is genuinely beautiful.
You can enjoy mountain scenery and city views to your heart’s content.
It’s wonderful to see such vistas less than an hour from the trailhead.
Now, today’s goal was to try descending the rope hanging down from this rocky ridge.
From above, it looked almost vertical, and last time I just cautiously peered down.
Maybe it’s just getting used to it, but this time I descended smoothly without any fear at all.
Descending is fun!
This path seems to run along the border between Tobe Town and Iyo City, but I have absolutely no idea where it leads.
I descended to where the rope ended and then turned back.
So, everyone, just enjoy the rope descent!
On the way back, I was gliding smoothly when I realized I’d forgotten my trekking poles and had to make a U-turn back to Gongen-yama.
Good thing I noticed early.
