重茂山・重茂城跡 3つの祠と素晴らしい眺望を楽しめる山頂広場（愛媛県今治市）標高約294m
玉川町から大西町に抜ける県道163号線の峠あたりに、重茂城跡の看板があります。
ここが重茂山の登山口です。
峠に車が停められる場所があります。
カーブで見通しが悪いので、道路の横断には注意しましょう。
峠の前にも、重茂山の登山口があり、こちらには「重茂城跡ふれあいの森へ」という案内があります。
2つの登山道はすぐに合流しますので、どちらから登っても大丈夫です。
登山口から山頂までは400mです。
登山道は整備されていますが、ふわふわの落ち葉に足が滑りますので、慎重に登っていきます。
残り300m、残り200mと、100m毎にふれあいの森への案内があるので、気持ちが楽です。
尾根に出たら山頂に向かいます。
しばらく歩くとベンチがあり、横に「頂上の鐘」があります。
ベンチは壊れていましたが、鐘は気持ちの良い音を響かせてくれます。
最後の登りを終えると、第1の祠に。
重茂城跡の説明看板がありました。
そのまま進むと、第2の祠に。
この辺りから瀬戸内海の眺望が良くなってきます。
さらに進み、最後のピークを登ると、第3の祠と重茂城跡の標識がありました。
気持ちの良い山頂広場で、いくつものベンチが設置されていました。
眺望も素晴らしく、良い小山でした！

Around the pass on Prefectural Route 163, which runs from Tamagawa Town to Onishi Town, there is a sign for the ruins of Shigemo Castle.
This is the trailhead for Mt. Shigemo.
There is a place to park your car at the pass.
Be careful when crossing the road, as visibility is poor due to the curves.
In front of the pass, there is another trailhead for Mt. Shigemo, with a sign “To Shigemo Castle Ruins Fureai Forest”.
The two trails soon merge, so you can climb from either direction.
It is 400 meters from the trailhead to the summit.
The trail is well-maintained, but be careful as your feet may slip on the fluffy fallen leaves.
You will be guided to the Fureai-no-mori forest every 100 meters, such as 300 meters to go, 200 meters to go, and so on, which makes you feel comfortable.
When you reach the ridge, head for the summit.
After a short walk, you will find a bench and the “summit bell” next to it.
The bench was broken, but the bell makes a pleasant sound.
After the final climb, you will come to the first shrine.
There was a sign explaining the ruins of Shigemo Castle.
Continuing on, we came to the second shrine.
From this area, the view of the Seto Inland Sea begins to improve.
Continuing on, we climbed the last peak and found the third shrine and a sign for the ruins of Shigeshige Castle.
It was a pleasant summit plaza with a number of benches.
It was a nice little mountain with a great view!
