出釈迦寺奥の院 我拝師山中腹にある弘法大師伝説の場所 善通寺五岳山縦走（香川県善通寺市）
火上山から我拝師山へ向かいます。
基本的に激下りです！
風もよく通るので、なかなかスリリングです。
とはいうものの、木々の間の我拝師山がを見ながら、少しずつ下りていくのも楽しいですね。
そして、その我拝師山の中腹に現れるのが、出釈迦寺奥の院！
この景色は壮観ですね！
ワクワクが止まりません！
無事に下って、出釈迦寺奥の院へ。
捨身ヶ岳の石碑もあります。
空海が真魚（まお）と呼ばれていた7歳の頃、我拝師山で7日間修行するも仏と出会えず、釈迦如来の姿を見れるか、一命を捨てて諸仏に捧げるか、ということで身を投じたという伝説のある「捨身ヶ岳」
何やってんの？7歳児！という状況なのですが、釈迦如来と天女が舞い降り抱きとめたと伝わっています。
お釈迦様が出てこられたことから「出釈迦寺」
空海がお釈迦様を拝んだことから「我拝師山」
とのことです。
そんな伝説のある出釈迦寺。
奥の院、梵鐘、金色の出釋如来像、そして、中山と我拝師山を仰ぎ見る眺望。
素晴らしい場所でした。
さて、我拝師山の岩山を登ります！

この中腹の場所にこれほど立派な寺院があるなんて。

Heading from Nakayama toward Gahaishi Mountain.
It’s basically a steep descent!
The wind blows through well, making it quite thrilling.
That said, it’s also enjoyable to gradually descend while glimpsing Gahaishi Mountain through the trees.
And appearing halfway up that Gahaishi Mountain is the Inner Sanctuary of Shusyakaji Temple!
This view is spectacular!
My excitement won’t stop!
Safely down, we reach the Inner Sanctuary of Syusyaka-ji Temple.
There’s also a stone monument for Sutemi-ga-dake.
Legend has it that when Kukai was seven years old, known then as Mao, he practiced asceticism on Mount Gahaishi for seven days but failed to encounter Buddha. Faced with the choice of seeing Shakyamuni Buddha or sacrificing his life to offer it to all Buddhas, he threw himself off the mountain. This is the legendary “Sutemi-ga-dake”.
What was he thinking? A seven-year-old! But legend says Shakyamuni Buddha and celestial maidens descended and caught him.
The temple is called “Syu-Shaka-ji” because Shakyamuni Buddha appeared here.
And “Gahaishi-yama” because Kukai worshipped Shakyamuni Buddha here.
Such is the legend of SyuShaka-ji Temple.
The inner sanctuary, the temple bell, the golden statue of Shaka Nyorai, and the view looking up at Nakayama and Gahaishi Mountain.
It was a truly wonderful place.
Now, let’s climb the rocky slopes of Gahaishi Mountain!
