獅子の霊巌展望台・やしまーる　美しい風景とアートな建造物（香川県高松市）標高約293m

香川2か所目は屋島！
噴火と風化の影響で、花崗岩の上に安山岩が水平に堆積した台地状態のお山。
大きな屋根に見えるので屋島なのだとか。

今日は南嶺と北嶺を回ります。
ただ、時間の関係で麓からではなく、屋島山上観光駐車場からスタート。

その前に獅子の霊巌展望台に。
この展望台の横にある、2022年8月5日にオープンした屋島山上交流拠点施設「やしまーる」も見ていきます。
駐車場から屋島寺の中を抜けて、商店が並ぶ道を少し歩くと到着です。

まずは獅子の霊巌展望台。
高松港から瀬戸内海の景色が一望できます。

そのまま「やしまーる」に入って回廊を歩くと、展望台の上へ。
同じ景色ですが、また、違った良さがありますね。

「やしまーる」は中庭に不思議なアート作品がありました。

さて、南嶺に出発です。

The second place in Kagawa is Yashima!
The mountain is a plateau of andesite deposited horizontally on top of granite due to eruption and weathering.
It is called Yashima because it looks like a big roof.

Today we will visit Nanrei-Ridge and Hokurei-Ridge.
However, due to time constraints, we will not start from the foot of the mountain, but from the Yashima Yamaue Sightseeing Parking Lot.

Before that, we will go to the Lion’s Reigan Observatory.
Next to this observatory, we will also see the Yashima San-jo Koryu Kanko Shisetsu (Exchange Base Facility on Mt. Yashima), which opened on August 5, 2022.
From the parking lot, walk through the Yashima-dera Temple and a short distance along a road lined with stores to get there.

The first stop is the Lion’s Reigan Observatory.
You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea from Takamatsu Port.

Continue into “Yashima-ru” and walk along the corridor to the top of the observatory.
It is the same view, but has a different quality.

There is a mysterious artwork in the courtyard of “Yashimaaru.
