牧野植物園を南門から出で、その後は竹林寺へ。
四国霊場とういこともあり立派です。
五重塔も見ごたえがあります。
竹林寺の本尊・文殊菩薩像は寺則により秘仏とされ、50年に一度のご開帳と定められています。
今年は開創1300年記念として、特別にご開帳されています。

Exit the Makino Botanical Garden from the south gate and then go to Chikurin-ji Temple.
The temple is a magnificent temple, as it is a Shikoku Sacred Site.
The five-storey pagoda is also worth seeing.
The main image of Monju Bosatsu (Manjusri) at Chikurin-ji Temple is considered a secret statue according to the temple’s regulations, and the temple is only open to the public once every 50 years.
This year the statue is being specially opened to commemorate the 1,300th anniversary of the temple’s founding.
