雄甲山 眺望は少ないが柱石を眺められる男山（愛媛県松山市）標高238.6m
雌甲山から尾根づたいに雄甲山へ。
尾根を数分歩くと、あとは40m程の急登に。
自力で登れますが、ロープをかけてくれているので助かります。
山頂では広場になっており、まずは三角点がお出迎え。
その奥に権現さんの立派な祠があります。
まずはご挨拶。
そのまま奥へと進みます。
南東の斜面には、柱石という、その名の通り石柱が並んだようなエリアがあります。
祠の横に建っている石柱や善応寺の石段も、この石なのだそうです。
雄甲山山頂の眺望は木々で邪魔されていますが、それでも鹿島方面の美しい海を眺められます。
今回は雌甲山から雄甲山へと登りましたが、雄甲山から雌甲山へと登った方が、眺望の満足度が高いかもしれません。
それにしても、北条エリアの山々は眺望が素晴らしいですね！
冷えていく溶岩やマグマ全体が縮むときに五角形や六角形の柱状の割れ目ができるそうです

From Mt. Mengo, follow the ridge to Mt. Ongo.
After walking along the ridge for a few minutes, you will reach a steep climb of about 40 meters.
You can climb the mountain on your own, but ropes are provided to help you.
At the summit, you will be greeted by a triangular point. Behind it is a magnificent shrine of Gongen-san.
We greeted him first.
Continue to the back of the mountain.
On the southeast slope, there is an area called Hashiraishi, which, as the name suggests, looks like a row of stone pillars.
The stone pillars standing next to the shrine and the stone steps of Zen’oji Temple are also said to be made of these stones.
The view from the top of Mt. Ongo is obstructed by trees, but you can still see the beautiful sea in the direction of Kashima.
This time, we climbed up from Mount Mengo to Mount Ongo, but the view from Mount Ongo to Mount Mengo may be more satisfying.
By the way, the mountains in the Hojo area have great views!
