雲海展望公園・雲海展望台　行くのは大変だけど素晴らしき眺望（愛媛県大洲市）標高約500m

大洲に雲海展望台があると聞いて行ってきました。
11月～12月が雲海が見れる絶好の時期だそうです。
朝9時くらいまでが良いようです。

なんか観光案内を見ていると
「ホテルに泊まって、早起きして雲海展望台に登ってみよう！」
みたいなことが書かれてあったので、気軽に行ってみたのですが・・・
これ、絶対に車の離合ができないのでは？という道でした。
下見を兼ねて午後に行ったので、幸い、車とはすれ違わなかったのですが、先日11月16日には「雲海まつり」があったそうで、どうやって車が行き来したのか不思議です。
（ご存じの方、教えてください）

さて、なんとか車を停めて雲海展望台へ。
午後なので、もちろん雲海はなかったのですが、見事な景色が広がります。
眼の前には神南山と大洲市街。
雲海が発生すると、本当に幻想的でしょうね。

この雲海展望台、どうやら平成13年度宝くじ助成で建てられた展望台のようです。
見事な展望台を作られましたね。

ゆっくりと景色を眺めることができ、良い時間でした。

I heard there was a Sea of Clouds Observatory in Ozu, so I went to check it out.
November to December is apparently the best time to see the sea of clouds.
It seems the best viewing time is until around 9 AM.

Looking at some tourist guides,
they wrote things like, “Stay at a hotel, wake up early, and climb up to the Sea of Clouds Observatory!”
So I casually decided to go…
But this road was so narrow, I thought, “There’s absolutely no way cars can pass each other here!”
I went in the afternoon to scout it out, so luckily I didn’t encounter any oncoming cars. But apparently, there was a “Sea of Clouds Festival” on November 16th, so I’m amazed how cars managed to get through.

Anyway, I managed to park and made it to the Cloud Sea Observation Deck.
Since it was afternoon, there was no cloud sea, of course, but the view was spectacular.
Right before me lay Mount Kannan and the cityscape of Ozu.
When the cloud sea does form, it must be truly magical.

This Cloud Sea Observation Deck seems to have been built with funding from the 2001 lottery.
They really built a splendid observation deck.

I was able to leisurely take in the scenery, and it was a wonderful time.
