網掛岩 夕やけこやけラインから眺める幻想的な岩島（愛媛県大洲市）
本日は登山ではなく番外編。
夕やけこやけラインを走っていて、いつも素通りしてしまう綱掛岩に立ち寄ってみました。
ほんと、知らないと気づかずに通り過ぎてしまうのですよね（汗）
車を停めるスペースがあります。
ここに綱掛岩の由来が書かれてありました。

天平十二年（西暦七百四十年）九月、九州太宰府の少貳（次官）藤原広嗣は、朝廷に対し反乱を起こした。朝廷は、大野東人を大将軍に任命し、一万七千の兵を率いその反乱を鎮圧した。
その際、伊予の国主越智玉澄も多くの兵を率い、船を利用して筑前（福岡県北西部）を目指した。
しかし、その途中大時化に遭いこの浜辺に一時滞在することになった。
その時、船の艫綱を投げ掛けたこの岩を「綱掛岩」と伝称している。
やがて、広嗣軍を征討した玉澄は、帰路再びここに立ち寄り、嶺櫛生に三島神社を建立したと言われている。
綱掛岩の上には鳥居と三島大明神の祠があります。
道路から見下ろす感じですが、立派な岩島でした。
写真撮影には夕方が良いのだろうな。
注意していないとあっという間に通り過ぎてしまいます

Today’s not a mountain hike, but a special edition.
While driving along the Yuyake Koyake Line, I stopped by Tsunakake Rock, which I usually just pass by.
Honestly, if you don’t know it’s there, you’d just drive right past it.
There’s space to park your car.
Here, the origin of Tsunakake Rock was written.

In September of the twelfth year of Tenpyō (740 AD), Fujiwara no Hirotsugu, Vice Minister of the Dazaifu in Kyushu, rebelled against the Imperial Court. The Court appointed Ōno no Azuma as Grand General, who led 17,000 soldiers to suppress the rebellion.
At that time, Ochi Tamazumi, the governor of Iyo Province, also led many troops and set sail for Chikuzen (northwestern Fukuoka Prefecture).
However, they encountered a violent storm en route and were forced to temporarily stay on this beach.
It is said that the rope they threw over this rock to secure the stern of their ship is why it is called “Nawakake-iwa” (Rope-Hanging Rock).
Later, after defeating Hirotsugu’s forces, Tamazumi is said to have stopped here again on his return journey and established the Mishima Shrine at Minekushi.
A torii gate and a shrine dedicated to Mishima Daimyojin stand atop Tsunakake Rock.
Though viewed from above the road, it was an impressive rock formation.
Evening light would likely be good for photography.
