御山 日本一低い山（自称）ネコも登れる3.6m 白鳥神社（香川県東かがわ市）標高3.6m
四国には「日本一低い山」が2か所あります。
徳島県徳島市の弁天山と、香川県東かがわ市の御山。
旅の帰りに、御山に登ってきました！
まずは白鳥神社へお参り。
白鳥の由来である鶴が出迎えてくれ、風鈴や風車など、美しい風景の神社です。
本殿裏の裏参道に入ると、そこは約40000坪の瀬戸内海国立公園「白鳥の松原」が広がります。
この松原全体が「山」です。
裏参道の案内に沿って松原の中を歩いていくと、突如現れる御山の山頂。
標高3.6m、自然の山として日本一低い山！を自称されています。
社務所で登山証明書がもらえます。
表参道の大鳥居を出て右手に少し歩くと、ぶどうもちで有名な和菓子店「みなとや商店」さんがあり、登山証明印を押してもらえます。
なぜ、和菓子店で証明印？と思い、白鳥神社との関係性を質問してみたのですが、直接的な関係はないとのこと。
「みなとや商店」さんは、天保に創業された老舗和菓子屋で、白鳥神社との長いお付き合いで行われているとのことでした。
そもそも、御山の歴史は浅く、2004年の大型台風により、東かがわ市松原付近が床上、床下浸水の災害にあったことが契機。
避難場所としての松原地区の標高の高い場所を調べていたところ、地元の方から「御山」という地名で呼ばれていた場所が標高3.6mで最も高いということが発見されたそうです。
2005年8月7日に「日本一低い山」としてお山開きを行い、参拝者に楽しんでいただいているそうです。
ちなみに、日本一低い山は7ヶ所ありますが、すべて「枕詞」がついています。

日本一低い山巡りも楽しそうですね♪
短冊には、梛木の葉が共に吊るされています。
梛木の木は「梛木（なぎ）＝凪（なぎ）」に通じることより、平穏無事の象徴とされているそうです。
良い風が吹いて、物事がよく回りますようにと願いを込められているそうです。

First, we paid a visit to Shirotori Shrine.
A crane, which is the origin of the word “swan,” welcomes you to this beautifully landscaped shrine, complete with wind chimes and windmills.
Entering the back approach behind the main shrine, you will find the “Shiratori no Matsubara” (swan’s pine grove), a Seto Inland Sea National Park of about 40,000 tsubo.
This entire pine grove is a “mountain.
As you walk through the pine grove following the directions on the back approach, the summit of Gozan suddenly appears.
At 3.6 meters above sea level, it is the lowest natural mountain in Japan! It is self-proclaimed as the lowest natural mountain in Japan!
You can get a climbing certificate at the shrine office.
After exiting the Otorii gate on the Omotesando approach and walking a little to the right, you will find Minatoya Shoten, a Japanese confectionery store famous for its grape cakes, where you can have a certificate of climb stamped on you.
Why a certificate stamp at a Japanese confectionery store? I asked about the relationship between the shop and Shiratori Shrine, but was told that there is no direct relationship.
Minatoya Shoten” is a long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in Tempo period, and they said that they have a long relationship with Shirotori Shrine.
To begin with, the history of Miyama is short. It was triggered by a major typhoon in 2004, which flooded the Matsubara area of Higashikagawa City above and below floor level.
While researching the elevation of the Matsubara area as an evacuation site, they discovered that a place called “Miyama” by the locals was the highest elevation at 3.6 meters above sea level.
On August 7, 2005, the mountain was opened as “the lowest mountain in Japan” for visitors to enjoy.
