Fuji summit from the Yoshida Exit and begin the Hachi-mairi (round of bowls) tour.
Fuji, and it is thought that the name was changed to “Hachi-mairi” because of the shape of the crater.
The eight peaks are called the eight divine peaks.
Starting from Kusushi Shrine at the summit of Yoshida-guchi, the tour turns to the right.
Jouju-dake, Izu-dake, Asahi-dake, Sengen-dake, Komagatake, Mishima-dake, Kenga-mine, Hakusan-dake, and Kusushi-dake.
Oh, there are nine places, aren’t there?
Apparently, Mt. Izu is not included in the eight sacred peaks.
At the summit of Gotemba-guchi, there is a stone monument with an elevation of 3778 meters.
It was recorded at the time of triangular surveying in 1887, which is a bit surprising.
After praying at the Okumiya Shrine at the summit of Fujinomiya-guchi, it is finally time to climb the horse back to Kenganomine.
It is a very steep slope, almost to the level of a ski slope. It was so steep that I wondered if it was a ski slope.
I slid around as I climbed, but it was a fun experience that I could only have here.
After enjoying the 3776-meter altitude at Kenga-mine, we went back to the original point and took our time to enjoy Dainai-in.
Finally, we rounded Shonai-in at the foot of Mt. Hakusan and ascended to Mt. Kusushi Shrine, the starting point of the tour.
It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours per round.
If you go around with a view of the too-big Dainaiin, you will lose a sense of distance and time interval.
It was a very quick tour of the bowl of Mt Fuji.
