八幡山・石清水八幡神社 巨大絵馬が有名な今治市を一望できるスポット（愛媛県今治市）標高約90m
石清水八幡神社は八幡山の山頂に位置しています。
神仏一体時代は栄福寺と共にあり、栄福寺から鳥居をくぐり階段で登れます。
なのですが、残念ながら、この日は工事で通行止めとなっておりました。
一度、栄福寺を下りて、鳥越峠に向かいます。
鳥越峠には鳥越地蔵尊がお祀りされています。
鳥越地蔵尊の伝説は悲しい話なのですが、このお地蔵さんはなんでも願い事を叶えてくれるのだとか。
鳥越峠を越えてすぐに、石清水八幡神社の参道があります。
この参道、立派な車道にもなっていて、登った先には広々とした駐車場。
歩いてきたのですが、車で来ればよかったですね。
石清水八幡神社のある場所が、八幡山の山頂です。
石清水八幡神社は、今治南中学校の美術部の方が奉納する巨大絵馬が有名です。
境内からは、今治市を一望することができます。

Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine is located at the summit of Mount Hachiman.
In the era of Shintoism and Buddhism, the shrine was located together with Eifukuji Temple, and visitors can pass through the torii gate from Eifukuji Temple and take the stairs up to the top.
Unfortunately, the road was closed due to construction work on that day.
We went down from Eifukuji Temple and headed for Torigoe Pass.
Torigoe Jizoson is enshrined at Torigoe Pass.
The legend of Torigoe Jizoson is a sad story, but it is said that this Jizo grants anything you wish for.
Immediately after crossing Torigoe Pass, there is an approach to Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine.
This approach road is also a fine driveway, and at the end of the climb is a spacious parking lot.
I walked here, but I should have come by car.
The place where Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine is located is the summit of Hachiman-yama.
Ishimizu Hachiman Shrine is famous for the giant ema (votive picture tablet) dedicated by the art club of Imabari Minami Junior High School.
From the shrine grounds, a panoramic view of Imabari City can be enjoyed.
