西山興隆寺 秋でなくても楽しめる美しい参道（愛媛県西条市丹原町）標高約280m
丹原の紅葉の名所といえば西山興隆寺。
本日は初夏ですが、緑のモミジも綺麗です。
お迎え童子がいらっしゃる、赤い御由流宜橋を渡って、長い階段を登っていきます。
道中の景色は本当に美しいですね。
途中には千年杉の古株やお楠狸など、見どころもたくさんあります。
頂上には、本堂をはじめ、大師堂や三重塔など。
登り道もいろいろありますので、あちこちに登って堪能させていただきました。
今回、気づかなかったのですが
西山興隆寺の裏山は西山はという山で、標高457mなのだとか。
西山興隆寺の裏手の、中腹37番の石仏のところに西山展望台があるのだとか。
知りませんでした。
次回は行ってみたいと思います。

Nishiyama Koryu-ji Temple is one of the best places in Tanbara for autumn foliage.
Today it is early summer, but the green maple trees are also beautiful.
Cross the red Miyuryugi Bridge, where there is a welcoming doji, and climb the long staircase.
The scenery along the way is really beautiful.
There are many sights to see along the way, including an old 1000-year old cedar tree and an ogusu raccoon dog.
At the top are the main hall, the Daishi Hall and the three-storey pagoda.
There are various paths to climb, so we climbed here and there and enjoyed it.
I didn’t realise this time.
The mountain behind Nishiyama Koryu-ji Temple is called Nishiyama-ha, which is 457 m above sea level.
Behind Seisan Koryu-ji Temple, there is a Seisan Observation Deck at the 37th stone Buddha in the middle of the mountain.
I didn’t know that.
I would like to go there next time.
