医王山 永納山城の城壁跡が続く独立峰の岩山低山（愛媛県西条市）標高100m
古代山城跡である永納山城の城壁は、永納山から医王山にまで続いています。
医王山の登り方を教えていただいたので、登ってきました。
ちなみに、医王山というのは「医王善逝」という薬師如来の別称だそうです。
登山口は西条市と今治市の境にある「今治市」の標識横になります。
ここからまずは尾根まで登ります。
帰りは道がわかりやすいのですが、登りの際には、とにかく木々の間を登っていく感じで大丈夫です。
尾根に上がると、医王山への道がわかりやすいです。
道はしっかりしており、ピンクテープも誘導してくれます。
まずは、シダ植物の登り道。
季節が冬のため登りやすかったのですが、夏は止めた方が良さそうです。
しばらくシダ道を進むと、突然、開けて岩場が現れます。
岩場も登りやすいのですが、東側は絶壁となっているため注意が必要です。
山頂は開けていて、見事な眺望を楽しめます。
永納山から医王山へ続く城壁跡もわかりやすいですね。
振り返ると、世田山もきれいに見えます。
標高100mの低山で、登頂まで15分弱ですが、山の要素が詰まっていてとても楽しめるお山でした。
道があるようでないような感じですが、まずは尾根に上がります
思ったより距離がありますので夏は厳しそうです
東側・南側は絶壁となっていてロッククライミングルートですので要注意

The walls of Yongnosan Castle, the site of an ancient mountain castle, extend from Mt. Einou to Mt. Iou.
I have been told how to climb up Mt. Iou.
Incidentally, Iouzan is another name for Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha) called “Iiozenzei.
The trailhead is next to the “Imabari City” sign on the border of Saijo City and Imabari City.
From here, first climb up to the ridge.
The way back is easy to find, but on the way up, you can just climb through the trees.
Once on the ridge, the path to Iiozan is easy to find.
The path is well marked and pink tape will also guide you.
The first thing to do is to climb up the ferns.
It was easy to climb because the season was winter, but it would be better not to do so in summer.
After following the fern trail for a while, the trail suddenly opens up and a rocky area appears.
The rocky area is easy to climb, but be careful because of the precipitous cliff on the east side.
The summit is open and offers a magnificent view.
The remains of the ramparts leading from Mount Einou to Mount Iou are also easy to see.
Looking back, Mt. Seta.
It is a low mountain with an elevation of 100 meters and it takes less than 15 minutes to reach the summit, but it is packed with mountain elements and very enjoyable.
